Secure 24 Volt Connection:

When towing a trailer your trailer's wiring system must be connected to your primary vehicle's wiring system.  This 7-Pin Trailer Plug can be used to establish a secure connection between your primary vehicle and additional trailer.  It will provide a secure and reliable transfer of electronic signal lights from the vehicle to trailer.

Trailer Connector Plugs:

Trailer connector plugs are multi-pole electrical connectors that are employed between a towing vehicle and a trailer.  They are used primarily to supply automotive lighting on the trailer.  They can also be referred to as "trailer wire," "trailer cable" or "trailer connecting cable."

In addition, trailer connector plugs sometimes are used to deliver feedback from the trailer to the towing vehicle.  This can be in the form of a simple fault indication or for more advanced commands such as monitoring and control of CAN bus for EBS brakes.

Trailer Electrical Plug & Road Safety:

When towing a trailer you must connect the trailer's wiring system to that of your vehicle's.  To legally tow a trailer on public roads you must have working trailer lights that are plugged into and operating in sync with your primary vehicle's lights.  This connection requires the use of a plug and socket.

Working rear lights, brake lights and indicators will prevent you getting a fine but more importantly they will communicate your actions to other road users and ensure safer driving for all.
