Current Carrying Capacity & Corrosion Resistance:
This offset battery terminal is constructed from heavy pattern tin-plated brass for maximum current carrying capacity and better corrosion resistance.  It is designed to replace corroded, worn out or damaged battery cable terminals. 

Corrosion is a major problem experienced with battery terminals.  Corroded terminals cause a number of problems most notably poor starting.  Minor corrosion can reduce alternator output by as much as 30%.  This loss of power stresses the charging system and causes early failures.

Heavy Pattern Tin Plated Brass Construction:
Most auto parts suppliers sell cheap lead battery terminals that are sub optimal and limit the performance of the battery system.  The lead clamp plate squashes the battery cable flat which results in only a partial electrical contact.However these heavy pattern tin plated brass battery terminals make full 360-degree contact with the cable. 

Replacing Battery Terminals:
Terminal corrosion and the resulting increased resistance results in slower cranking, an overheated starter motor and ultimately premature starter failure.  This problem can be easily circumvented by replacing corroded terminals early.  Terminals are cheap and are easily replaced with a set of wrenches and a hacksaw in about 1 hour.
