GUIDE TO SELECTING THE CORRECT WHEEL TRIM SIZE FOR YOUR CAR
Firstly, it is important to note that wheel trims are suitable for use with standard car steel wheels only - and not with alloy wheels. To determine the correct size for your wheel you will need to perform a simple inspection of your tyre to figure out its size. Locate the 'R' number marked on the tyre - it should be clearly visible. Next, note the number that immediately follows the 'R'. This figure represents the wheel rim diameter in inches. For example - if your tyre is marked as R16 - then your wheel size in 16 inch, and you need 16" inch wheel trims. See diagram below:

PREVENTING WHEEL TRIM THEFT
Having your wheel trims stolen can drive you up the walls. There's nothing worse than fitting a nice new set of trims to your car to give it that little bit of added elegance to find that some cretin has decided to relieve you of your latest investment when you weren't looking. This will prevent the casual opportunist and lock them in place against the wheel. If you would like to go one step further you can deter even the most determined thief be using a set of STAINLESS STEEL CABLE TIES. These are the big daddy in the cable tie world and are an excellent deterent to pesky wheel trim thiefs. Tie them up and keep them safe!
GUIDE: HOW TO FIT WHEEL TRIMS TO WHEEL
- The first step to fitting your trim in place is to clean the rim of the wheel of any dirt and grime that may have accumulated over time.
- Carefully position the steel retaining ring onto the top of the trim and firmly press it into the slots of the clamping pins.
- Press the wheel trim onto the rim making sure that it is positioned in such a way so as not to obstruct the air valve.
- Cable ties are a great addition for added security and to prevent the loss of wheel trims if they come loose unexpectedly.
GUIDE: REMOVING WHEEL TRIMS
Wheel Trims are removed by simply prising the trim away from the wheel and gently snapping out of place. This can be done by hand - or even better - you can use a simple tool set such as a TRIM REMOVAL SET to assist in the removal. Although trims are relatively easily removed - the clip-into-place wheel retention system is reliable in holding the trim securely in place during normal operation.
